PORTABLE HEATING UNITS

We can help you find a solution for all you temporary heating needs!
At Rocky Mountain Portable Cooling, we offer heaters ranging from 5,175 Btu/h to 1,500,000 Btu/h.  We carry direct and indirect fired heaters in propane/natural gas and oil.  We also have a wide selection of electric, pest remediation and infra-red heaters for commercial or industrial applications.  

Our Modulating Vertical Boilers are available in 1,250,000 Btu/h and operate on natural gas or propane.
Modulating Boilers

Our modulating vertical boilers maintain optimum fuel air ration througout the entire range of load-tracking operation, by precisely matching the latest control and combustion componenets.  Even with low and fluctuating gas pressures.  

Our units are custom built in a sturdy, steel case frame and operate with 87% non-condensing efficiency.
Direct Fired Heaters

Our direct-fired heaters set up quickly and are exceptionally quiet during operation.  They have a direct spark ignition system, a thermostatic control and some are ductable.   

  • Propane direct-fired heaters are available in sizes ranging from 80,000 to 1,500,000 Btuh.
  • Natural gas direct-fired heaters are available in sizes ranging from 500,000 to 1,500,000 Btuh.
  • Used in well ventilated applications requiring a lot of heat.
Indirect Fired Heaters

We offer indirect-fired heaters where the heat exchanger allows for external exhaust of combustion products.  These heaters have built in fuel tanks, direct spark ignition and are thermostatically controlled.

  • Propane/natural gas indirect-fired heaters available in sizes ranging from 400,000 to 700,000 Btuh. 
  • Oil indirect-fired heaters available in sizes ranging from 395,000 to 420,000 Btuh.
  • Typically installed outside with warm air ducted to interior areas.
Electric Heaters

For commercial or industrial applications, our electric heaters are highly mobile and available in blower, radiant, and convection heating. 

Typical sizing requirements for electric heaters is based on kW.  Each kW produces 3400 Btu's of heat.  Determine the Btu's of heat needed and divide it by 3400 to arrive at the kW required. 

  • Blower heaters are rugged, self contained heaters that offer fan forced heat with adjustable thermostats for heating larger areas.  Electric blower heaters range from 10kW to 60 kW (33,000 Btu/h to 205,000 Btu/h). 
  • Infra-red radiant heaters provide heat in areas where localized heating is needed.  They are ideal for spot heating cold areas like shipping docks and outdoor shielded work sites.  We carry both 6 kW and 13.5 kW (20,500 Btu/h and 46,000 Btu/h) units.
  • Convection space heaters are compact and provide quick local or supplemental heat in smaller areas.  hey are available in 1500 watts.
Thermal Heat Remediation

TheChromalox ThermEx portable electric heater is specially designed with adaptable power configurations for use in residential and commercial buildings to treat most insect infestations. 

Heated air circulates through the treatment area, raising the temperature of walls, ceilings, furnishings and floors, as well as within wall cavities and other hard-to-reach openings.
